Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

For the first time ever, you can play through events from all six of the Star Wars movie, in one game.

With brightly colored graphics and cute lego-styled characters, you’ll love the beautiful backgrounds and the huge Star Wars world. You’ll get to be in on the negotiations with the Trade Federations as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn, and to take part in the super fast racing action as you pursue bounty hunter Zam Wessell from Episode II. Even the Return of the Jedi’s epic space battle above Endor is included.

You’ll be playing through the areas in many ways: traveling to the next area on foot, whizzing through space as you pilot a ship, engaging in huge battles as you swing your light saber toward victory.

There are six segments, each one representing one film in the Star Wars series. Within those six segments, there are 36 story mode levels. With this much story, you’ll be deeply involved in the Star Wars universe for a very long time, even with just the single player game! You can always have a friend join in anytime in cooperative mode – one of the best things about this two-player game is that a friend can drop in and join the action whenever they want!

All of your favorite characters from the previous Lego Star Wars series have returned, with a few new ones, like Watto and Boss Nass, as well. In fact, you’ll have a massive character roster: over 160 unique characters!

The powers in the game have been upgraded and are more fun than ever to use, and you’ll really feel the force as you swing your Wii remote and watch your onscreen light saber respond instantly.

The Lego theme really adds a bit of extra fun, as you’ll get to watch funny animations like Chewbacca popping the arms off of his Lego enemies. The Lego pieces also serve a very useful in-game function as they’ll help you to advance as you build bridges or even vehicles with them.

Even after you think you’ve done everything in the game, you’ve really only just begun-this game has a huge amount of bonus stages, extras, and fun secrets. Don’t miss the hidden go-kart track on Dagobah, one of the real secret gems of the game.

Resident Evil 4 for Wii

In this fourth installment of the survival-horror masterpiece Resident Evil, you’ll be taking on the role of Leon Kennedy, who we haven’t seen since his rookie cop days in Resident Evil 2. Things have really changed now, and Leon is a confident federal agent who is given a top-priority assignment.

The president’s daughter, Ashley, has been kidnapped and rumor has it she was taken to an isolated foreign country. Leon has been assigned to recover her before her time runs out – but it’s a much bigger task than he had imagined. Soon after he is dropped off at the village where the game begins, he is attacked by a person who does not seem quite human – and he has friends.

This is the first Resident Evil game with no zombies at all – unfortunately for Leon, these things might just be worse. They look human, but they act possessed and are full of murderous rage. They are far smarter than zombies, though, as they will use any available weapons including pitchforks and hatchets to come after you.

As the game progresses, you’ll play as Leon and have full access to his standard weapons, and the ability to earn more. Some later stages will have you playing as Ashley, and you’ll have to use smart strategy,and coordinate with Leon to help escape together.

New to RE4 is the ability to earn money, called pesetas,which you’ll be able to use to purchase new weapons and ammo. You’ll still come across the occasional weapon scattered throughout the game – but mainly you’ll be upgrading your weapons as you decide, and when money allows.

Fighting the creatures has a whole new feel, because the Wiimote and Nunchuck make it more instinctive than ever before. Targeting is as simple as pressing the trigger button on the Wiimote to precisely zoom in, and pressing a button to fire. Reloading is easier than ever, just aim and shake down once and you’re reloaded and ready to go.

Resident Evil 4 for the Wii has all the extra modes that it’s predecessors had, including the extra assignments like Assignment: Ada. Although Ada Wong appears in the RE4 game and spars with Leon, she is not truly a playable character until you play through her bonus Assignment. Since her character plays completely different than Leon, this adds lots of fun and replay value.

Play through the game on various difficulty levels to earn bonuses like extra character costumes, and to try for 100% completion – only experts will be able to collect every item!

Get ready for the scariest survival horror you can imagine – if you thought the zombies were bad, wait until you see the un-zombies!

Do you love all those fun Carnival games but don’t get the chance to play too often? Now the Carnival game fun doesn’t have to be limited to a couple times a year. You can play realistic feeling carnival games right from the comfort of your own couch with Wii’s Carnival Games.

There are 25 different carnival games to choose from in the beginning, and you can unlock even more as you play through the game. You’ll be able to play every game found at Carnivals, and then some. Skee ball, ring toss, target shooting, lucky cups, test of strength game, even a dunk-tank!

The Wii controls bring a whole new level of depth to the games and give a feeling of reality previously impossible to achieve on a home gaming console. When you’re playing skeeball, you’ll make the bowling motion with your controller and watch the ball leave your hand with perfect timing.

With the ring-toss, you will use a flicking motion with your Wii remote, just like real life. When you’re playing the milk-bottle toss, you’ll throw the ball just like you throw a baseball-lift your arm in the air and toss!

Also just like real life, you’ll be playing for virtual prizes. With the tickets you’ll win, you can buy three different sizes of stuffed animal prizes, upgrades for your character like new clothes, or even purchase new minigames to play.

Don’t forget to save some of your tickets, though, because some games do require admission tickets. Multiplayer mode is where things can get really wild! Up to four players can join in the minigame fun, and with 4 Wiimotes in hand, the action will be fast and furious. Just make sure to have plenty of room for each player to move, because the action is so life-like that you’ll need your space to toss those rings!

Mario Party 8

Mario and friends are back with the much-anticipated Mario Party 8 for the Wii.

Mario Party is, as always, the ultimate party game, with up to four players supported in this virtual minigame-centered fun. The single player game is also a great way to polish your skills as you compete with the computer opponents.

When you get the party started with your friends, they’ll never know what hit them as you trounce them at all the minigames!

All of your favorite characters from Mario Party 7 are back, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and many more. Brand new characters Blooper and Hammer Bro join the party this time to make the roster of characters the largest yet.

On the Wii, the minigames have a whole new feel -the unique motion-based Wii controls mean you’ll really feel like you’re rowing a boat, punching statures, and swinging a baseball bat, all with true to life motions.

The game boards(all six of them) are huge and more full of adventures than ever. The game is centered around the incredibly fun minigames, and with literally dozens of them, you never know which game you’ll be playing next!

Minigames will include a few of your favorites from the previous Mario Party games, but most of the dozens of minigames are brand new, such as the cake-decorating challenge and the quiz-show challenge.

For the first time ever in the series, there are also supersized minigames like the Star Carnival Bowling and Table Menace. You’ll find a couple of game boards with familiar-looking surroundings, like the Donkey Kong themed board, but don’t get too confident – while a lot of gameplay mechanics, like rolling the dice to start each turn, are the same, there are plenty of wild and wacky surprises in store!

Get ready for the ride of your life! We Ski for the Wii is such a life-like skiing experience that you can practically feel the fresh powder.

You can choose to use the standard Wii Nunchuck and remote to swoosh down the slopes, or add incredible extra depth with the Wii balance board. We Ski ‘s support of the balance board is one of the very best uses yet of this unique hardware, because you just can’t beat the feeling of standing on that balance board, dodging through the trails, and watching it all unfold in real time on the screen. You’ll have 14 unique courses to choose from, each full of twists, turns, and virtually double replay value since you’ll be able to race each of these at night as well.

The night skiing is spectacular – just don’t get too distracted by those gorgeous fireworks displays in the sky, you’ve got a race to win! Course difficulty ranges from bunny trails for the beginners up to the ultra-challenging Black Diamond trails for the expert skiers.

Before you dive in to the trails, you’ll probably want to check out the Ski School, where you’ll learn all the moves, including braking, air tricks, how to speed up, and how to recover from a crash. Attending Ski School might just get you a bonus for your character to wear in the game.

Your character is fully customizable: in fact, you can even use your Wii in the game. There are plenty of great character options, and customization is absolutely fantastic. You can choose everything from hair color and style to every single aspect of your skiier’s outfit. Once your skiier has learned a few tricks in the ski school and is ready to hit the slopes, Freestyle mode is the place to be!

You’ll be able to really explore the mountain in this mode, and earn star points as you advance. Those star points will unlock secrets and help you earn new outfits for your character. You can enjoy all sorts of skiing events on the mountain, including Centipede races and an awesomely fun and challenging search and rescue game called Orienteering.

A really fun extra is the photography – you can have snapshots taken of your character, which then go into an album you can view anytime, or even upload via WiConnect24 to share with your friends!

Speaking of friends, We Ski is just as much fun with friends as it is by yourself. You can play with up to four players simultaneously, and it’s the perfect family game.
