If you like Pikmin on the Gamecube, you’re going to love it on the Wii!

Pikmin has been completely redesigned to utilize the unique controls of the Wii, and heading up your army of Pikmin has never been so easy, or so instinctive.

You’ll simply point your Wiimote at the screen to pinpoint the Pikmin you’re communicating with, and the Wiimote makes it easier than ever.

You’ll be controlling adorable little astronaut Captain Olimar, who has crashed his spaceship on a strange planet .

The planet is full of tiny plant creatures known as Pikmin, and they want nothing more than to be your friend and to help you in any task you assign them.

There are also enemies on the planet, but fortunately for you the Pikmin will swarm together to take them out when you command them to.

The Pikmin are also incredibly helpful in a variety of other ways, including helping you to build objects, recover the lost pieces of your spaceship, and gather the planet’s precious resources.

As time goes on, you’ll be able to command an army of up to one hundred Pikmin at any given time, and the Pikmin really excel at teamwork.

There are three types of Pikmin, and each has a different strength: some are best in water, some are strong in combat, and some are able to use bombs against enemies.

Since the Pikmin are very vulnerable to the giant predators on the planet, it’s your job to make sure you get each group into the large onion – like spaceships where they are safe every night. Each morning work must begin anew, because you have a goal to meet: you must find all the pieces of your spaceship and reassemble it before 30 days have passed.

Pikmin on the Wii is a whole new experience, since the controls are so different you’ll feel immediately involved in a whole new adventure.
