Pokemon Battle Revolution for Wii
Pokemon fans and newcomers alike will love the Pokemon battles on the island of Poketopia.
Poketopia is home to ten different battle stadiums, plus a couple of bonus stadiums. Each one more unique and challenging than the next.
Every stadium has something different about it - you might suddenly find your Pokemon randomly re-ordered in one stadium, and you’ll find that another stadium won’t allow you to enter without a special pass.
You’ll be selecting your own Pokemon to train , and challenging other characters in each stadium. You’ll be given your own Pokemon to train for battle, and as the game goes on you’ll have access to more Pokemon, in addition to being able to bring all your favorite Pokemon from your Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games into battle here.
You will earn rewards, called Poke-coupons, as you win game battles. With these coupons, you’ll be able to purchase new options for your character - including new clothes, hairstyles, and accessories.
Pokemon Battle Revolution is the very first Wii game to include connectivity with the Nintendo DS handheld. You can now wirelessly connect the DS to the Wii , and then import your Pokemon from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. The very same Pokemon you’ve raised in Diamond and Pearl can now help you dispatch the all new opponents in Poketopia!
The game also features two online modes: you can Battle with a Friend using a twelve digit “friend code” - it makes it easy to find each other online, no matter where you live. In Battle With Someone, you an take on a random opponent.
Every Poke-fanatic will love seeing their very own Pokemon in glorious graphics on the Wii!
Endless Ocean for Wii
In Endless Ocean, you’ll be viewing and playing through some of the most beautiful and detailed environments ever seen on the Wii.
Endless Ocean is a perfect execution of a free-form game, because you’ll find endless replay value in this game. It allows you to play at your own pace, with no time limits and no required goals to enjoy it. You’ll begin the game on a diving boat near Manoa Lai Island, on an expedition with your friend Kat, who is an oceanographer with lots of helpful gameplay tips.
You’ll get various gameplay objectives through your smartphone email - they’ll tell you where to dive and what you can collect or accomplish to advance in the game.
As you complete objectives, you can unlock new areas to explore - but you can always play as slow or as quickly as you like, there is no pressure in these tranquil deep seas.
You’ll be able to use a camera to photograph the creatures and fish you see,and you’ll have fish bait so you can even feed them! You’ll get to meet dolphins and interact with them, and just maybe you can even convince one of them to be your swimming partner!
A slight shake of the Wiimote will allow you to pet the deep sea creatures, and all you need to do to swim in a certain direction is to point the Wiimote, and you’re instantly and gracefully swimming there.
You can even team up with a friend for dives via the Nintendo Wifi connection! Just exchange friend codes and you can explore and complete missions together.
Many dozens of hours of gameplay lie in this beautiful ocean, and as soon as you end a play session, expect to find yourself dreaming of returning to the peaceful beauty of the sea.
Okami for Wii
Okami tells the ancient epic of the Sun God Amaterasu, who needs your help in the task of restoring a shattered universe .
A legendary evil monster named Orochi has risen from the dead and destroyed virtually everything on earth, and it’s your job as Amaterasu to save the world.
As you play through this visually striking and absolutely massive world ( well over 30 hours of gameplay!), you’ll find yourself in an ever-changing universe populated by intelligent and witty characters.
Amaterasu can fight off enemies and repair the damage they have done by using his control of the elements and his fighting skills. To fight the evil creatures Amaterasu must assume the physical form of a Wolf (Okami in Japanese) - but this is no ordinary wolf! In addition to the ramming ,biting, and diving attacks, which you’ll use the Nunchuk and Wiimote to pull off, the wolf has three types of special weapons.
Reflectors are the mirrors that help you with medium-range attacks, rosaries are weapons for the long-range attacks, and glaives are the slowest but the most powerful of the three weapons types. You can have any two weapons equipped at all times, one of which will serve as your sub-weapon. Some of the weapons can even be charged up, and be more powerful, with the use of gold dust, which you’ll come across in your game travels.
The incredibly fun and useful item which made this game famous is called the Celestial brush, a paintbrush type pointer which is ideally suited to the Wii’s unique controls. The Celestial Brush can be used to make change in virtually every area of the game.
To use Amaterasu’s powers to affect the weather, you’ll paint a sun in the sky, and the sun will rise. You will be able to revive the dead trees and plants by painting a circle around them . You can draw wind to blow down obstacles, paint bombs to blow up your enemies, and much more.
As you progress through the game and unlock new powers, you’ll even use the Celestial brush to solve puzzles. When you begin playing Okami, be prepared- you’ll need plenty of time, because once you dive into this beautifully rendered world, it’s impossible to leave.
