Super Mario Galaxy

In this Super Mario adventure for the Wii, Mario takes to space for the first time ever.

Princess Peach has not only been kidnapped by Bowser again, but her whole castle has been taken and sent into outer space! It’s up to Mario to save her, and he will visit strange planets, zoom through space weightlessly, and still perform his traditional jumps and attacks.

Super Mario Galaxy for Wii

When Mario journeys to outer space, he has a spaceship that serves as the game’s central area, and has doorways which lead you to 42 unique galaxies.

Each of the galaxies contain at least six challenges to face, and you’ll need to use all the Mario skills you recall from prior games, along with some fantastically fun news ones.

Mario has the most transformations ever - special mushrooms allow him to wear a bee suit, a boo suit, or a spring suit, each with it’s own special abilities.

With Mario now in space, the normal physics just don’t apply anymore - you’ll fly, glide, and spin through stars, feeling so natural you’ll know that Mario was meant for outer space! Star collection is a tradition for our hero Mario, and you’ll find stars in all these new galaxies, with 60 stars needed to complete the game.

There are, however, actually 120 stars total, and you will want to grab them all because there are secret unlockable levels you won’t want to miss.

The Wii remote and Nunchuck controllers are used to incorporate true motion control in the game - you’ll use the controls to tilt as you fly Mario, to spin as you perform his new spin attack, and to perform triple jumps, running, and to do all of them as combos as well. You will drag and drop items, and have complete control with immediate response.

Mario feels so responsive to the controls that you’ll be thrilled with the split second reactions. You and a friend can join the adventure together as you play the co-op mode, collecting Star bits and shooting enemies in tandem.

Super Mario Galaxy is the biggest and best adventure that Mario has had yet. It’s an adventure too big to be contained on earth!
